Swami Shrikarananda

Swami Shrikarananda (Swamiji) is a skilled teacher and devoted mentor. His humble and loving nature, dedicated and dynamic attitude, and wealth of knowledge are ideals for all to learn from and follow. Swamiji is the resident teacher for Chinmaya Mission in NSW, ACT, SA and QLD.

Swamiji completed his secondary education at Syndal High School and Bachelor of Business (Major in Accounting & Information Systems) at Swinburne University. He became a qualified Professional CPA accountant in Year 2002.

As a youth member of Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK), Swamiji learnt under the tutelage of Pujya Swami Swaroopananda and served in the Mission for many years as a dynamic leader and organised many events and programs. During his years as a CHYK, Swamiji was inspired to take up the life of monkhood and undertook the Chinmaya Mission Residential Vedanta Course (Mumbai, India). He was given Sannyaasa Deeksha on Mahashivaratri 2016, by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda.

Since 2004, Swami Shrikarananda has been serving in Sydney, Australia. He is loved and admired by devotees of all ages. The Chinmaya Mission community has benefitted greatly from his constant love and dedicated service – learning both through his guidance and example.
